Description
Shandong, circa 1920
This elegant table has been restored and refinished in a distressed cream lacquer – a neutral colour that would fit easily into any interior. The table is from Shandong province in northern China and is in a simple style that is typical of the region. The three shallow drawers are each fitted with a brass drop handle – replacements for the originals – and provide useful storage. The feet are in a ‘horse hoof’ design that is typical of antique Chinese tables. Perfect as a console in a hallway or for use as a dressing table or narrow desk where space is at a premium.
