This charming table is made from pine and comes from Shandong province in northern China. It was originally used as a practical surface on the ‘kang’, a raised area in a Chinese home, which was heated from below and served as the primary living area during colder seasons. Nowadays, it makes for a delightful little coffee table or display space for plants or decorative items.
