Description
Made from solid elm wood, this beautiful bed in warm finish is available in a range of sizes from single to emperor. The lattice work on the headboard is made using individual pieces of wood that are joined with mortise and tenon. The design dates back to the Ming dynasty China and can also be seen on our carved Ming screen. Lattice panels like this were used in both interior and exterior windows or doors, dividing off areas of a Chinese home or providing a beautiful vista onto the outside. The bed comes in four sections together with wooden slats, and is easily fitted together.
