Description
The Wire table lamp, originally created by Verner Panton in 1972, fascinates with its extraordinary construction principle. A precise cylindrical structure of chrome-plated wire made without welding blends with a plastic hemisphere that shields the bulb that sits in the center of a chrome-plated metal reflector, which directs light toward the hemisphere. Only when the light is turned on does the Wire lamp reveal the translucence of its shadow. The result is a completely glare-free, soft light that gives the room a high degree of comfort. The plastic hemisphere is removable, so the bulb can be easily inserted or replaced.
